How to play Element Merge
- Pick two elements. Tap or click one element, then a second. You can pick the same element twice — all ten pairs of the four basics react, so your first minute is full of discoveries.
- Or drag and drop. Drag one element onto another (or onto a slot) to merge them — works with mouse and touch.
- Discover. If the pair reacts, the new element joins your collection and can be combined again. If not, nothing is lost.
- Follow the numbers. The pink badge on an element shows how many new discoveries it can make right now, and “Possible” at the top counts every new discovery available with what you have.
- Fill the collection. There are 415 elements in 11 categories (Elements, Materials, Weather, Nature, Life, Tech, People, Space, Places, Food, Myth). Open a category tab to see your progress and how many locked slots remain. Faded elements have no undiscovered recipes left.
“What can I make?” hints
Press 💡 (or H) to see how many discoveries are waiting, then reveal step by step: first the category, then one ingredient, then the full recipe. If an element is selected, the hint prefers recipes that use it.

- Try every new element with the four basics first — Fire, Water, Earth and Air react with a lot.
- Combining an element with itself often makes a bigger version (Water + Water → Sea).
- Think in stories: living things come from Life, buildings need Brick and Wood, technology starts with Metal and Electricity.
- In Timed mode, use 💡 hints freely — they cost no time and point to a pair you can already make.
